Singles Ladies Reading Challenge (#SingleLadiesRead2017): This challenge is hosted by Elyssa Nalani at her new site. She is getting married this year and created a reading for engaged/married couples but also wanted to created one for the single ladies who are not married or engaged. (I am neither, but I am in a relationship.) I thought this would be a good challenge to participate in and better myself and understand myself.

I have included the topics for each month of the challenge schedule. T(The list of books will be added and updated as I read them.):

10th Annual Graphic Novel & Manga Reading Challenge (#GraphicNovels): I am becoming a big comic book nerd (thanks mostly to my boyfriend) and I try to read as many as I can. I do prefer trade paperbacks though. I have set my initial goal to Modern Age Level (read/review 12 books). If I complete this goal before the year is up, I will reset my goal to a different level. I have also decided to only count/review trade paperback/collected editions. I find it hard to review single issues.

(The list of books will be added and updated as I read them.)

  1. The Walking Dead, Vol. 25: No Turning Back by Robert Kirkman
  2. The Walking Dead, Vol. 26: Call to Arms by Robert Kirkman

The goal is to read 1 book from every state and the District of Columbia. (You can also choose to read a book from countries as well). You receive 1 point for each book/state read. Since I don’t want to nail myself down, I am going to read books and then decide where they go. Maybe I won’t stress out so much doing it this way.

Bookopoly 2017 (#Bookopoly2017): This challenge was very creative, and so I couldn’t pass it up. And although I set a numerical goal for the progress bar, I have actually have no reading goal – I just want to read and and if a book falls in a category that would be awesome. This challenge will also make me want to read/request books from different genres/themes. It can also be fun b/c I could play the board and let the board pick what I read. (Please click the link above to find out more about such a creative challenge. The host/creator no only has the game board but a progress sheet to help keep track.)
