2016 Winter Reading Challenges

COYER Black Out: Winter Storm (#CoyerBlackOut): I decided to participate in the winter challenge in wintercoyer-16-17attempt to get through a good percentage of my ARCs TBR pile and to see how well I can fair this challenge. This reading challenge takes place between December 19 and March 3.


  • Books HAVE to be acquired before the start of the challenge.
  • All books have to cost $1.00 or less; unless audiobooks which have to cost $5.00 or less. (ARCs – NetGalley, Edelweiss/LibraryThing, or First To Read – & free eBooks are allowed.)
  • All books can only be eBooks or audiobooks.


  • Every book powers the generator up a little bit.
  • Every 10 books of 100 pages or more powers one whole generator.
  • Books under 100 pages only power half the energy of a book of 100 pages or more. (i.e. 2 books of less than 100 pages = 1 book of 100 pages)
  • Once powered up a FREE book is allowed. This book can be acquired whenever, at whatever price, and can be in any format.
