2016 Reading Challenges

These are the reading challenges I am currently participating in.

Goodreads/Personal: I have been a member of Goodreads since 2011, at least. When I noticed that you could do reading challenges on their site for the year, I began to set goals.  First, I set my goal to 50, and I quickly surpassed it, so then I set it to 100. That too I surpassed, so I set it to 150. And I have yet to reach that goal. It close several times, and then there are times where I am no where near it. I continue to set my own goal at 150 because one day I will reach it…and possibly surpass it.

Anne-of-Green-Gables-Reading-Challenge-2016-Small-610x610Anne of Green Gables (#AYearInAvonlea): I have always loved this series. I must confess, though, that I first fell in love with the redhead from Avonlea & the boy she refused to admit her love for via the PBS broadcasts of the movies (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of the Green Gables: The Sequel and Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story) when I was a pre-teen. Once learning it was based on a series of books, I of course just had to have them. I read them all my senior of high school but I do not remember them as well as I should, so this is a great opportunity to revisit Anne, Gilbert & Avonlea.

I have included a few additional reads to the challenge schedule:

  1. January -> Anne of Green Gables ✓
  2. February -> Anne of Avonlea ✓
  3. March -> Anne of the Island ✓
