This summer I have gotten to participate in a few swaps. Two of the swaps are finished while one ends next week – Geekgasm Swap. I am looking forward to sending my partner gifts as well as what she has in store for me.
I also hope to be able to be picked to participate in this wonderful swap I heard about several months ago that last for six months – the #OTSPSecretSister Project. From what I can tell it seems like a great experience and great way to lift a fellow sister up with a nice note and cute little gifts. What a wonderful thing the three organizers created.
The two swaps that have already been completed are:
- A mini-#ninjabookswap in which we exchanged a book and a card. Something simple and sweet. Boo @ Boobellina Blogs sent me the following:
- A Funko! Pop swap via Geek Girls x Bloggers Facebook group. We were paired with another member and was given/gave a list of five Funko! Pops they/we would like. My partner must have read my mind, because out of the five I sent her this was the one I wanted the most!!!! Thank you Kayla.
Participating in these swaps, any swaps for that fact, can be literally and figuratively a mixed bag, but so far I’ve had pretty good experiences. And if given the time and effort, I definitely think more should participate. Who doesn’t love getting mail? Who doesn’t love making someone smile and brightening their day?
